Description
The Data Analyst is responsible for overseeing the execution of our data strategy. This role requires experience in data analytics to effectively leverage data insights for strategic decision-making. The Lead Data Analyst will help align the data teams to execute against the strategy and will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data initiatives with business objectives and drive data-driven decision-making. Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into data strategies. Collaboration with other departments is crucial to ensure that data initiatives are aligned with overall business goals and to foster a unified approach to data management. The Lead Data Analyst will work closely with the platform team, governance team, and the Analytics Enablement Lead, who will serve as the center of excellence, providing guidance and best practices. The Lead Data Analyst will also need to communicate these best practices back to the center of excellence.
Experience, skills and capability
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in ETL development and data warehousing using big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Azure Data Factory and Synapse Analytics
• Proven track record in developing enterprise-level data marts
• Experience with Databricks advantageous
• Experience with Azure Cloud Platform advantageous
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database management systems
• 5+ years' experience working with Microsoft SSIS
• Python programming skills advantageous
• Strong data modeling and schema design experience
• Experience with workflow management tools such as Airflow, Logic App advantageous
• Knowledge of data integration patterns, data load patterns and best practices required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good leadership and workload management skills advantageous
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with other stakeholders
