External Consultant - IFI/CCM (12335)
Description
We are looking for an External Sales Consultant to grow and retain clients for our Corporate Cash Management (CCM) team within the Investec for Intermediaries (IFI) division in Kwa-Zulu Natal. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for IFI clients, optimising our product offerings and enhancing client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as the main liaison for IFI clients, fostering strong and trusted relationships.
• Deliver exceptional service and proactive feedback to ensure high client retention.
• Drive growth in market share and top-line revenue through strategic client acquisition and retention.
• Customise and communicate the value proposition of CCM products to meet client needs.
• Promote core offerings including Cash and Forex products, while collaborating with Life, Structured Products, and Bespoke Investments teams.
• Develop and execute strategic client engagement plans and marketing initiatives.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with both existing and prospective clients.
• Collaborate across the Investec Group to unlock cross-divisional opportunities.
• Represent Investec at client and industry events to build visibility and deepen relationships.
• Track and report on sales performance using CRM tools and analytics.
• Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within the existing client base.
• Participate in team meetings and knowledge-sharing sessions to continuously enhance expertise.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
• Relevant tertiary qualification.
• Minimum of 7+ years' experience in financial services, ideally within the investment sector.
• Strong understanding of the financial advisory landscape, treasury, and Forex.
• Familiarity with structured products and life risk is advantageous.
• Proven track record in client service, relationship management, and sales.
• Solid grasp of currency and interest rate dynamics.
• Ability to interpret financial statements and conduct basic financial analysis.
• Awareness of global markets and the socio-economic and political environment, both locally and internationally.
• Deep knowledge of cash investment products, Forex, and structured products.
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks impacting banking and financial advisory services.
• Ability to engage with stakeholders across various levels—from business principals and directors to advisors, traders, administrators, and compliance officers.
• Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and the ability to drive key business initiatives within a team environment.
