Technical Digital Analytics Specialist CXT (12341)
Description
The Channel Data Insights-Analytics (CDI) team is a global team and capability housed across 2 divisions namely, CXT (Client Experience Technology) in SA and CDX (Client Digital Experience) in the UK. This team develops and supports the Channel Data Analytics platform which provisions the Channel Data products, Experience & Personalisation management and analytics for business enablement.
We are seeking an experienced Technical Digital Analytics Specialist to join the Channel Data & Insights team. Purpose of role Drive data-informed decision-making across Investec's digital estate by optimising, implementing, governing and elevating Adobe's Experience Cloud stack (Adobe Analytics, Launch, Target, AEM and Experience Platform) in combination with the Digital Analytics Platform eco-system. The role blends hands-on technical execution with analytical insight and experimentation leadership to unlock personalised, high-impact experiences for Investec clients
Experience, skill and capability
1. Technical Implementation - Data Collection & Insight Generation
• Architect, configure and administer Adobe Target & Analytics (web, mobile app, server-side or applicable SDK).
• Integrate with AEM, Adobe Analytics (A4T), CDPs, REST APIs, Backend services; ensure robust data layers, mbox/at.js or Web / App SDK implementations, and oversee tagging via Launch o Drive, Optimise and Own end-to-end Analytics implementation via Adobe Launch, including rule creation, data-layer design, and custom JavaScript for tracking.
• Configure eVars, props, events and classifications; develop Workspace dashboards and ad-hoc analyses that surface actionable insight.
• Troubleshoot tracking issues using developer tools.
2. Experience Design & Personalisation
• Build and manage A/B, multivariate, Auto-Allocate and Experience Targeting activities using VEC or code editors.
• Define audiences, offers and targeting rules, ensuring conflict-free delivery across web and app touch-points.
• Integrate Target with Adobe Analytics (A4T) to measure uplift, interpret confidence levels and recommend winning variants.
• Champion a hypothesis-driven testing roadmap and coach product squads on best practice.
3. Analysis & Insight Generation
• Conduct data analysis to identify client behavioural trends, patterns, and insights that support business objectives
• Design, automate and provide input to data models, KPI dashboards and insight packs that provide timely, accurate performance visibility.
• Craft clear narratives, business cases and optimisation proposals from complex analytics, delivering them to business, technology and leadership stakeholders.
• Monitor digital initiatives and user engagement, evaluate effectiveness and recommend iterative enhancements based on evidence.
4. Optimisation Strategy & Hypothesis driven testing
• Translate business goals into test hypotheses, prioritising them by potential impact and effort.
• Define KPIs, sample-size and run-time, then analyse lift and confidence to recommend winners or next iterations
5. Content & Data Integration
• Partner with AEM developers to embed Target and Analytics within components, templates and client libraries (HTL/Sightly, Sling, Java).
• Ensure data-layer consistency across AEM Sites & Assets, workflows and content fragments.
• Exposure and familiarity with Azure Data
6. CDP Enablement
• Model schemas in XDM, orchestrate data ingestion and configure Real-Time Customer Profiles and segments for activation in Target and respective Journey optimizer applications.
• Leverage Query Service / Data Science Workspace for advanced audience and propensity modelling.
7. Governance, Compliance & Enablement
• Audit existing setups, remediate issues, and enforce data-privacy / security standards
• Enforce data-privacy (GDPR, POPIA, CCPA) and security standards across tagging and personalisation.
• Document implementation solutions, run enablement sessions and evangelise data-driven experimentation culture across Investec.
8. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
• Partner with business users and analysts to configure the fit for purpose technical solution in the context of the Channel Data Analytics eco-system
• Partner with Analysts and Engineers to translate data requirements into experience driven technical solutions
• Work with Architecture and Application teams to implement scalable, robust solutions
Core Technical Competencies
• Adobe Experience Cloud ecosystem – A4T reporting, Adobe Analytics segments/metrics, Adobe Launch data layers, AEP audiences
• Experience in FSI recommended
• Adobe Target mastery (VEC/code mode, audience library, Audience Management, Recommendations, Auto-Target/Auto-Allocate, server-side APIs).
• Front-end proficiency (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/JSON)
• REST API integration & debugging tools
• Measurement & statistics – understanding confidence levels, power analysis, attribution and incrementality.
• Solid grasp of web & digital analytics concepts
• Soft skills – analytical curiosity, storytelling, stakeholder facilitation, and agile project management.
