Overview

• The IBSAG Credit Structurer HNW Lending is a critical new role created to strengthen IBSAG's HNW lending capability and enhance IBSAG's product offering with respect to Structured Portfolio Lending

• We are looking for an entrepreneurial, commercially minded individual who joins us in building Investec's Private Banking and Wealth Management franchise in Switzerland
• Whilst we are looking for individuals that have experience in Portfolio Lending, our primary focus is to hire talent that are open minded, bring strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity / versatility, resilience, and are willing to work in a faced paced environment
• This role is based in South Africa but aligned to the Swiss business; the individual is expected to be physically in the Investec offices in South Africa (Johannesburg), accommodate Swiss working days / Swiss public holidays, and be prepared to interact with Investec teams globally, predominantly on a remote basis

Credit analysis and structuring

• Be the primary point of contact for IBSAG's internal clients (Investec Relationship Managers, Wealth Managers, and Client Account Managers) for any lending related topics
• Structure lending transactions, write credit applications, and present to the relevant Credit Committee
• Manage the entire lending lifecycle, including new deals, amendments and extensions and redemptions, in close collaboration with the relevant functions
• Liaise with IBSAG clients in close collaboration and coordination with Investec Relationship Managers / Wealth Managers

Lombard Lending product development and Lending Value framework maintenance

• Enhance IBSAG's Lombard Lending offering, focused on optimisation both plain vanilla lending products as well as structured Lombard Lending solutions
• Drive the development of the quantitative Lombard Lending methodology in close collaboration with Investec Group quantitative resources
• Maintain the IBSAG Lending Value framework

Drive IBSAG's lending strategy

• Support the IBSAG CEO and IBSAG CFRO in enhancing IBSAG's lending capability within the Swiss Bank, including defining and implementing the operational and financial target model
• Develop credit pricing methodology in close collaboration with IBSAG Treasury
• Assist the IBSAG CFRO in day-to-day management of all credit related matters

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

Technical

• Proficiency in MS Office
• Strong financial modelling skills
• Ability to deal with larger datasets
• Knowledge of credit analysis techniques, ability to read financial statements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field an advantage
• Professional qualification such as CFA an advantage

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
