Investec Sandton is seeking a Full Stack Software Developer who is passionate about delivering high-quality software solutions and taking end-to-end responsibility for delivery. You will work as part of a tight-knit, collaborative team that embraces change and thrives on new challenges — both technical and personal. This role sits within the Pre-Transactional & MarTech space within Client Experience Technology (CXT). In its current remit the team doesn't support Investec's transactional or payment technologies or platforms.

As a Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing applications, as well as troubleshooting and debugging issues. You will work across both front-end and back-end technologies, leveraging a wide range of coding languages, frameworks, and third-party libraries. We are looking for someone proactive — an individual who questions processes, drives efficiencies, and takes accountability for outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

•    End-to-end delivery of scalable applications, from design to deployment
•    Develop, maintain, and enhance applications across front-end and back-end stacks
•    Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues efficiently
•    Collaborate closely with cross-functional design, technology, and architecture teams
•    Make informed, complex technical and design decisions to support project delivery
•    Ensure high application performance, stability, and ongoing support

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

•    ±5 years' experience in diverse development environments
•    Back-end: Dotnet Core (v5+), C#, REST services, integration experience
•    Databases: Microsoft SQL Server
•    Front-end: HTML5, JavaScript (ES6), JQuery, Vanilla.js, CSS3, Bootstrap 4, State Management (Redux), RXJS, Typescript
•    Experience with CI/CD and Azure Dev Ops/Cloud
•    Strong understanding of scalable application design principles and automated testing
•    Advantageous: Functional & Design Programming experience
•    Ability to adapt and modernize interfaces using the latest technologies
•    Commitment to delivering clean, testable code with unit testing
•    Proficiency in using AI-enabled productivity tools, such as Copilot, to improve efficiency, generate insight and support decision-making. Applies critical thinking and sound judgement when interpreting outputs, remains accountable for the quality and accuracy of their work
