Description

Investec for Business Technology division is looking for an Application Owner who will be responsible for leading and managing the development and maintenance of the Lending Technology Platforms team to identify and meet the present and future technological needs of the business; manage information technology strategic projects; implementation and monitoring of an applications strategy which aligns with the business strategy.

Skills and Capability

•    Lead, mentor, coach and grow a team of developers, testers, and business analysts in a dynamic, fast-paced environment for the delivery of software solutions. 
•    Instill a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and quality in the team
•    Oversee the architectural roadmap and application lifecycle management for the set of applications in your portfolio
•    Ensure that the architectural roadmap aligns with the broader Investec technical strategies.
•    Facilitate and align business stakeholders on the business and technical initiatives your team is working on 
•    Oversee the performance of routine maintenance and monitoring performance tech platform metrics.
•    Keeping abreast of new software technologies, as well as conforming to best practices in Software Engineering.
•    Manage costs for running the Technology platforms.

Qualifications and Experience

•    10 years' experience in Software Development or related field
•    Previous leadership role within the applications development area of a financial services organisation
•    At least 5 years' experience in people management and technical leadership
•    Has had previous experience in the role of development manager (or a role of similar scope and complexity)
•    Experience in stakeholder management
•    Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
