Description

Investec Sandton is looking for an Application Support Engineer to support the Lending applications in Private Banking Technology.  The core focus of the role is providing internal support to the various applications which integrates with multiple applications in Private Bank. The candidate will gain industry exposure of how Lending platforms work together the various integrated processes.

Key focus areas:
•    Provide day to day support
•    Engage with Investec business stakeholders, regarding troubleshooting or resolution of technical queries
•    Perform routine health checks and system availability
•    Perform problem identification and root cause analysis 
•    Perform Incident and Problem Trend Analysis including the use of monitoring and dashboard tools
•    Provide after-hours support for predetermined changes 
•    Provide after-hours support for system outages
•    Provide input into the Evolution of the Ops practice within Investec
•    Work within the Service Management disciplines of ITILV3/V4

Experience, skill and capability

•    Attention to detail
•    Strong sense of urgency
•    Able to perform root cause analysis and have an understanding of the end to end process
•    Excellent communication skills
•    ITIL Service Management
•    Basic programming language concepts
•    SQL management studio and SQL dev Querying
•    MWS, Webmethods, Bruno, SOAP UI troubleshooting advantageous
