Description of the role 

Brand experience management is a key strategic focus for Investec. Events are used to engage all client audiences, so that they experience Investec in an Out of the Ordinary, distinctive way, bringing the brand to life, with the intention of aiding acquisition and retention. This discipline provides our clients with the ‘money can't buy' experiences.

We are looking for an experienced brand experience manager with a creative flair to partner with the business in conceptualizing and executing various events and programmes within the Group portfolio.

The Brand Experience Manager is responsible for driving immersive and memorable brand experiences that align with business objectives. By effectively managing budgets, scoping projects, and collaborating with internal and external partners, the successful candidate will deliver consistent messaging and exceptional brand experiences. This role plays a critical part in maintaining brand integrity, managing projects, and implementing innovative approaches to enhance the overall brand experience.

Responsibilities:

Project/Event Management

• Co-ordinate marketing events in JHB for group marketing, central services and Investec Property portfolios that are aligned to the Investec brand.
• Conceptualize fresh and distinctive ideas for events and general marketing activations.
• Manage marketing events as an integral part of the marketing budget and strategy.
• Proactively seek out new experiential opportunities, in collaboration with the business.
• Project manage activations from conception to completion, ensuring successful delivery within the agreed-upon budget.

Reporting and Budget Control

• Compile an Operations report for every activation on project initiation and keep it updated throughout the planning process.
• Ensure successful delivery within the specified agreed-upon budget.
• Responsible for submitting invoices to finance for payment.
• Finalize the budget document, reflecting the final spend per line item.

Client service (internal & external)

• Collaborate with the business and maintain a proven can-do attitude.
• Demonstrate resilience and the ability to accept constructive feedback from the business.
• Deliver accurate and timely communication to stakeholders and suppliers, including all relevant documentation.
• Act in the best interest of the group, striving to improve cost efficiencies.
• Meet strict deadlines.

Brand Custodian

• Ensure the Investec brand is consistently promoted by following the correct brand procedures and policies, adhering to CI and brand compliance.

Description of the skill and experience required 

•    Minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar role
•    Previous experience in forecasting and budget control
•    Well versed in all the Microsoft Office suite applications
•    Competency with Cvent and Microsoft Dynamics 365 would be advantageous.
•    Creative with a high attention to detail
•    Able to travel and work out of normal business operating hours (role is Johannesburg based)
•    Rigorous cost management 
•    Can work independently as well as part of a Team.
