Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented FinOps Specialist to oversee our IT Financial Management (ITFM) system, Magic Orange. This role will sit within the Finance department and will collaborate closely with both Accountants and technical personnel to ensure the effective management and optimisation of our financial models and reporting processes

Experience, skills and capability

•    Model Updates: Regularly update and maintain financial models within the Magic Orange system to ensure accuracy and relevance
•    Reconciliation: Perform reconciliations of financial data to ensure consistency and accuracy across all reports and dashboards
•    Dashboard Analysis: Develop and analyse dashboards to provide insights into financial performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement
•    Data Consolidation: Consolidate financial data from various sources to produce comprehensive reports for stakeholders
•    Procedure Development: Establish and implement procedures that align with financial principles and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency
•    Collaboration: Work closely with Accountants and technical staff to resolve issues, improve processes, and ensure seamless integration of financial data
•    Deadline Management: Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met, coordinating with relevant teams to facilitate timely submissions
•    Training and Support: Provide training and support to team members on the use of the Magic Orange system and related financial processes

Other responsibilities might include:
•    Maintaining the project list through collaboration with Project Managers
•    Generating ad-hoc reports as required for budgets, forecasts, month-end reporting

Technical knowledge and experience:
•    A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
•    Proven experience in financial operations, preferably in an IT finance or financial management role

Systems Skills:
•    Familiarity with ITFM systems, particularly Magic Orange, is highly desirable
•    Intermediate /Advanced MS Excel skills (essential)
•    Knowledge of JDE and Essbase (highly desirable)
