In the digital channels - Payments, the Mobile Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and high-performing mobile payment solutions.

The role provides the opportunity to work in a fast moving, creative and challenging environment as part of a multi-skilled team, working on a wide range of client facing projects.

The digital channels team strives to push the boundaries of technology to deliver a high tech and high touch experience for Investec's clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop React Native mobile payment features for iOS and/or Android.
• Integrate mobile applications with payment APIs, authentication services, backend platforms, and third-party services.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and support controlled mobile application releases.
• Ensure appropriate monitoring, logging, analytics, and error handling are implemented.
• Contribute to mobile engineering standards.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Architecture, Security, Backend Engineering, QA, Risk, Fraud, and Operations teams.

As a mobile developer in our team you will implement new app features, maintain, enhance, and support our existing suite of apps while providing support and assistance to the business as a technology subject matter expert.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• Hybrid mobile app development experience (React Native)
• Solid JavaScript and TypeScript experience
• TDD experience
• Automated build processes and unit testing
• Experience in building, signing and deploying iOS and Android apps
• UI + UX design experience
• Native App development experience (Objective C/Swift or Java/Kotlin - Added Value)
