This role is based in South Africa (Investec Ltd.), with the home Investec office being the 100 Grayston campus. Investec experience is preferrable as this role will need to have and maintain strong relationships across Investec

This person will be required to:

• Take up a role leading Modern Workspace Team
• Be able to influence and build relationships and enable process with external and internal stakeholders and leaders across the group.
• Demonstrate strong decision-making capability and drive innovation.
• Demonstrate deep appreciation and understanding of the Investec culture and be able to apply that knowledge across various Investec geographies
• Have prior experience in program and coordination capability -essential to enabling highly complex and inter-connected technical delivery
• Actively manage and continually improve the strategic, tactical and operations of the following capabilities across the Investec group, supported by delivery roadmaps in line with leading proven practices and IT standards

• Contribute to the overall ITS strategy supporting the Investec and Digital and Technology strategic objectives
• Manage work delivery, timelines, budgets and outcomes for the portfolio in line with the agreed change delivery lifecycle
• Build, maintain and performance manage a lean, highly skilled and fully engaged team.
• Develop the team in line with target competences and build delivery and leadership strength within the team.
• Maintain high levels of collaboration and connectivity with partner business unit and technology teams across the Group
• Ensure governance structures are maintained and followed, manage key IT risks and ensure compliance with IT policy and standards, and security standards
• Solution Design & Strategy: Define and deliver collaboration strategies using Microsoft tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).
• Adoption & Change Management: Lead campaigns and training to drive user adoption.
• Technical Oversight: Manage deployment, migration, and support of Microsoft 365 services.
• Team Leadership: Guide analysts and service managers in delivering solutions.
• Communication: Develop internal communication materials and user guides.
• Vendor Management: Oversee third-party support and service providers.
• Product Strategy & Lifecycle Management: Own the end-to-end lifecycle of Modern Workplace services (e.g., Microsoft 365, Teams, Copilot).
• Innovation & Automation: Drive integration of AI tools like Microsoft Copilot and automation to streamline workflows.
• Customer & Market Insights: Analyze user needs and market trends to inform product development.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with sales, marketing, and delivery teams to align product vision and execution.
• Service Delivery Oversight: Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of workplace services across regions.
• Vendor & Partner Management: Coordinate with Microsoft and other vendors for seamless service integration.
• Financial Management: Define pricing strategies and manage profitability of services.

Experience, skills and capability

• At least two years in a technical team leadership role, with direct reports
• Prior technical experience in delivery and/or technical team leadership in at least one of the core pillar capabilities,3
• Prior technical experience in delivery and/or technical team leadership in at least one of the core pillar capabilities, with more than one being preferred
• Prior demonstrable experience in implementing large, complex technical delivery spanning multiple domains and business teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness and availability to travel to various Group offices, as and when needed
• To act with integrity at all times and embrace the philosophy of treating our customers fairly (compulsory)
• Regulatory Knowledge as applicable to role (compulsory)
• Strong background in Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
• Experience in product management or service delivery.
• Strategic thinking and leadership across global teams.
• Familiarity with licensing, cloud services, and digital transformation.
• Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 services.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in large-scale IT change initiatives.
• Leadership and team development capabilities.
