Description

The Private Bank Tech team have a need for a Tech Reliability Management Lead to aid in the running and operating of the end-to-end services which sit within the Business Unit. The environment is complex - encompassing all private bank related systems for the bank and serves as a great opportunity for an individual to lead a team to operational excellence as an enablement team within the organization. The aim is to measure, influence, and iteratively improve delivery across the performance KPI's for the team and the platform. These KPIs include our DORA, Service Management, cost and performance metrics. The individual applying for this role should be able to quantify, prioritize and influence work with these metrics in mind within the team, as well as drive the support processes that underpin a successful technology team which forms part of the broader Technology operations team and strategy within Investec LTD.

Experience, skills and capability

•    Manage data collection for updating operations metrics used in measuring our productivity targets.
•    Drive down error rates within the environment as a part of BAU processing within the team. 
•    Contribute to budget reviews and reporting of cost plans to upper management. 
•    Focus on improvements in process, relating to agile and Devops practices, pipelines, support and development lifecycle.
•    Strong partnering with Stakeholders and your equivalents in other areas on the above responsibilities.
•    Identifying opportunities for automation and AIOps within process and our technical estate. 
•    Identifying opportunities for enhance monitoring and visibility.
•    Facilitate problem and change management and drive for business resilience in the platform. 
•    Work with the team as an interface into risk management and tech governance. 
•    Thought Leadership: Drive best practices and innovations in technology reliability across the organization.
•    Change Management: Evaluate and manage technology change requests to minimize impact on business 
operations.

Qualifications and Experience

•    3-5 Years experience in a technology reliability lead or similar role
•    Experience within Financial Services or Banking preferred
•    Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, tools and methodologies
•    Familiarity with DORA metrics 
•    An understanding of financial products such as lending will be beneficial
•    Strong Incident and Change Management expertise with the ability to lead under pressure
•    Ability to work across multiple teams and stakeholders 
•    Understanding of change delivery frameworks and key metrics determining the operational health of a delivery / platform team 
•    Influencing the change management process for simplicity, efficiency and elimination of risk to allow for faster service delivery
•    Ability to delegate responsibility and aid in priority calls 
•    Technical capability in monitoring, events and observability 
•    Technical capability in pipelines and delivery teams a plus 
•    Excellent communication skills, organized and self-motivated 
•    Experience in Trade Finance solution would be an added advantage 
•    Strong analysis skills 
•    Strong data skills 
•    Certifications in DevOps, ITIL or related areas are a plus
